DG: Well, that was the 1st, and I may be wrong about this, but I think it was the 1st integrated dinner meeting to be held in a hotel in Jackson. Remember, they didn't integrate or desegregate or whatever until the civil rights bill was passed in the summer...

DG: Yes, they did and..... not bad coverage. We were becoming more or less respectable at that point...
