Abstract

C.W. Capps Jr., Sherriff and Tax Collector in Bolivar County, Mississippi, wrote to Amzie Moore. He indicated that Moore’s recent words have made him believe that some families in Cleveland, Ohio have no money, and thus cannot participate in a food stamp program. He enclosed a check for $50 (photocopy, attached), and he instructed Moore to use it on the families most in need.
