An African-American civil rights organizer, Betty Robinson worked behind the scenes to build support for the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee (SNCC) from 1964-66. She later worked as a community organizer with Bob Moses's Algebra Project and with the United Workers in Baltimore, Maryland.
