Abstract 

The author profiles Oberlin College student Julie Zaugg, a white civil rights activist who was arrested for trying to enter all-white Capitol Street Methodist Church in Jackson, Mississippi with two African-American students. The three students all had come from Tougaloo College, where Zaugg was spending the semester. The profile highlighted Zaugg's dedication to racial equality and her involvement in various other philanthropic activities.
