Abstract 

In this article, the reporter writes about the indictments of seventeen men accused of plotting the deaths of James Chaney, Michael Schwerner and Andrew Good, three civil rights activists in Meridian, Mississippi. He reports that a federal judge dismissed these indictments, and that the case would move onto Federal Court. The defendants included two sheriffs and a policeman.
