Abstract 

The author writes that much action in the civil rights struggle had taken place in Southwestern Mississippi. The author explains that Ku Klux Klan (KKK) became strengthened in the Southwest in 1961, and he describes instances of civil rights activism in and around Nachez, Mississippi. Additionally the author lists other Southwest Mississippian civil rights workers who died at the hands of anti-civil rights workers.
