Abstract 

In this letter, Selma and Ed Thaler, civil rights supporters from outside New York City, express admiration for the courage of the letter's recipient, prominent civil rights activist Fannie Lou Hamer.  They invited Hamer to visit their home and expressed interest in planning a possible speaking engagement for Hamer.  The Thalers also enclosed a gift for Hamer and her daughters.
