In this letter to prominent civil rights leader Fannie Lou Hamer, author and fellow activist Annell Ponder requests that Hamer send her copies of ballots from general elections, as well as elections in Hamer's area.  In the wake of the passage of the Voting Rights Bill, Ponder and her fellow teachers wanted to teach their students about elections and the process of voting.
