Abstract

The author reports that Dr. Tom Levin, formerly the head of Operation Head Start in Mississippi, stepped down from his position.  As the assistant director, Reverend Willie Brown took over the federal poverty initiative from Levin. Spokesman for the project Jim Monsonis denied that Levin's decision to leave the project was motivated by the Office of Economic Opportunity's (OEO) investigation of the project.
