Abstract 

The author reports about the formation of the Delta Opportunity Corporation, a private non-profit organization, created in order to bring federal money into Mississippi. The reporter writes that this organization, which he describes as primarily made up of African Americans, is focused principally on the future of jobs and development, inexpensive housing, and opportunities for small businesses.
